Minute Workers where time really is money

Posted by Unknown | 28 March, 2011 | Category: | 0 comments

Here at Minute Workers we are a team of people with who strive to complete two objectives to the best of our ability:

1) To provide workers with a realistic and trustworthy outlet to gain money from working online at home.

2) To provide employers with an highly efficient and cost effective form of recruitment where small tasks need to be completed on a mass scale.

Minute Workers was created late 2009 as a concept to provide "free" money to the average user in the hard economic conditions of that year. The company is based in the UK but the service targets consumers internationally.
We believe trust is vital to our users as well as ourselves, by providing multiple streams of communication we always look forward to users feedback and questions. The Minute Workers forum was created as part of this concept to allow users to talk with one another, not only providing an outlet for us to communicate with users, but also for users to talk about related topics regarding the activities of Minute Workers.
On the concept of trust we also wanted to provide a trustworthy method for users to see their earnings go into their bank accounts. This is when the Paypal system was intergrated into Minute Workers, with this new technology intergrated it provided a fast and simple soloution for users to easily withdraw and desposit money securely around the site.
Early 2010 we started to support a group known as GPTBoycott, the purpose of this group is to prevent online scams who violate users and fundamentally steal money. In order for us to be a supporter we had to be approved by the group which earned us the title of a legitimate company with intentions to provide the service stated.
Once you have earned $2 or more from completing jobs you can withdraw your earnings. This is done through Paypal, Alertpay and funds will be transferred to your bank account on the 15th and 30th of every month. To begin this process click Withdraw on the workers menu.

Must To Have Top Free Android Applications on Android Smartphone

Posted by Unknown | | Category: | 0 comments

Here is the  list of the top 10 free android application that one must install on any Android smartphone.

Barcode Scanner
Surprised why is this application at priority one. I don’t know what other thinks but according to me it’s the most important application for an Android device. Using it you can scan the QR code of any application on Appbrain or on any other website and get the download link instantly. Also you can share your contacts, apps, and bookmarks via QR Code.
Lookout Mobile Security
Security is the one of the prime concern, be it  anything and lookout is the best in its class. It has got a Antivirus & Security feature to protect your phone from any viruses, a Find My Phone module to track down your lost or stolen phone and finally  Backup and Restore module to take backup of all your valuable data on your Android device so you don’t have panic lines on your forehead even if your device is wiped out by chance.
Advanced Task Killer
Android OS has multitasking support and thus you can run parallel application back to back. Some times this boon rather changes into curse when you have many parallel task running side by side munching on your RAM. The above mentioned tool kills your running application with a single click. You can either kill all the application by a single click or select them prior of dumping.
ASTRO File Manager
Although Android comes preloaded with a default file manager but believe me that is not enough. Now when you have ASTRO installed on your device you will have features like File Manager, Backup, Image and text viewers, Networking, SMB, Bluetooth, SFTP, Zip Tar, downloader, thumbnails, search files, application manager and task manager  in a single application.

Opera Mobile
Opera Mobile web browser is one of the best web browser for Android and will make your browsing easy, interactive and fun. One of the best feature of Opera is its  Turbo mode that  help us to save on data costs.
Pulse News Reader
Pulse is the best and at the same time beautiful news reader for Android device. Pulse takes your favorite news websites and blogs and transforms them into a colorful and interactive mosaic. If you like a story you can even Share it with your friends  via Facebook, Twitter and Email with just a click.
Google Goggles
Probably this is one of the only Google application that does not come preinstalled on an Android. Using Google you can search almost any thing on internet by just clicking the picture of the stuff. Goggles uses image recognition technology to recognize objects and return relevant search results. the latest version also solves Sudoku with in no time.
arcMedia Player
No doubt the default video player of Android is a decent application but it has very less file type support. Using arcMedia player you can easily play avi, divx, mkv, mov, mp4, rmvb, wmv, vob, xvid video  easily.
eBuddy Mobile Messenger
We love to chat with our family and frends any where and every where and eBuddy takes full care of it. Using it you can always stay connected with all your friends and family on MSN (Windows Live Messenger or WLM), Facebook, Yahoo!, MySpace, Gtalk (Orkut), ICQ, AIM (AOL) and Hyves.
Zedge Ringtones & Wallpapers

Well this list is not the end but its just the beginning to the extremely wonderful world of Android applications. If you want more you can visit AppBrain instantly and start downloading what suits you the best.

How to test the internet connection speed or the network

Posted by Unknown | | Category: | 0 comments

It can be helpful to analyze network or connection problems for instance, or a tool for webmasters to find out how fast they can connect to their websites which is a form of testing the website’s speed especially when the data is compared to related websites.
Most speed tests on the Internet let you connect to one of their servers to perform the test. That’s sometimes not beneficial especially if the servers are not located in your country.
Tracert and ping are available on the local system but they do not reveal the speed of the connection.
SpeedTest is a free client and server software for Windows that can be used to test the connection speed of a local network or the Internet.
Users can install the client version to test the connection speed to IPs or Internet domains, or the Server version to allow clients to connect to that server to test the connection speed.

Image(8)
To test the speed users enter either an IP address or domain name in the Server form in the application interface. A click on connect or the enter key will connect to the location and record information about the connection. This includes the time, duration, bytes received and speed in KB/s.
The speed tester creates a visual representation of the connection speeds in a chart automatically.
Image(9)
Results can be printed or copied from the connection log. SpeedTest is available for download at the developer website. It is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the Microsoft Windows operating system.

HTML5 Based Application to share, buy and discover new music everyday

Posted by Unknown | | Category: | 0 comments

Ever since MySpace cut its staff the other week, we’ve been wondering what social network/music discovery service could possibly replace it should it totally collapse. Well, UK-based startup MFLOW probably won’t be that service, but it certainly is fun.

MFLOW, by its own description, is “Twitter meets iTunes,” in that it allows users to both share and buy music. In essence, it’s a music discovery service/social network.
Basically, you create an account on MFLOW (for free) and connect it to your Twitter, Facebook and Buzz accounts (or any combination of the three). You can then search for music within the service’s 5 million song database (which is also ad-free), and then “Flow” a track. Flowing a track basically means sharing it on the aforementioned social networks.
When it comes to music, I was able to find a lot of my favorite bands thanks to UK partnerships with Sony Music, EMI and Universal, along with most of the independent labels and big aggregators. According to CEO Oleg Fomenko, MFLOW is currently working on deals that will hike 5 million tracks up to 7 million.
The first 10 tracks you Flow can also be downloaded for free and can be listened to by other users — sans payment. The only catch is that you can’t listen to a Flow over and over again, preventing people from liberally reaping the benefits of the services without paying anything.
Speaking of payment, you can also buy tracks using partner bank HSBC, and if another user buys a track that you Flow, you get credit for future purchases (20% of the cost of the song your friend bought).
Perhaps the most useful aspect of the service is discovery — the site features a “People Wall” that you can use to explore other people’s Flows (which you can listen to in full). You can also follow people on the service to get their latest picks. The only annoying thing is that the service doesn’t pull friends from Facebook, Twitter and Buzz, which makes it hard to find people.
Currently, the service has no mobile apps, but it is accessible on any device that supports HTML5, which is pretty awesome, because it will work on the iPad. Also, much like Spotify, MFLOW isn’t fully available in the U.S. yet — you can still listen to Flows and download your 10 free tracks, but you can’t buy music. MFLOW, however, has plans to become fully available in the U.S. toward the end of 2011.
MFLOW launched in the UK back in December and currently has 80,000 users who have — to date — sent more than 700,000 “flows” and purchased more than a quarter of a million tracks.
